CAS Channel -- Mobile company Research in Motion (RIM) said that they have lost millions of customers around the world. In the release of financial statements in the third quarter on Thursday, December 20, 2012, the company's main product BlackBerry declare the result was a first for them.
The only bad report comes a month before the launch of the BlackBerry 10. As of December 1, 2012, third quarter revenue of BlackBerry sales fell by 48 percent to U.S. $ 2.7 million (Rp 26 billion from U.S. $ 5.2 (USD 50 billion) million per year.

"We believe the company has been trying to stabilize and will be back to normal next year," said Chief Executive Thorsten Heins RIM. "We are also realistic about our competitors. But, we know that customers in the industry is asking for and respond to innovation that exist," he added.
Until now, BlackBerry sales continued to fall in the United States. But its popularity continues to grow in developing countries. BlackBerry customers deliver high revenue for RIM, through toll charges paid by operators. So the loss of customers is a major blow to the BlackBerry. In Indonesia, the BlackBerry subscriber growth started to slow down.
Heins explained that RIM has reduced the number of inter-operator costs which accounted for 36 percent of their income. He added that this latest in the series, the cost to the operator of the RIM will change.
With BlackBerry 10, Heins continued, corporate and government users will be able to select, they buy services from RIM. He said that the company would no longer charge a fee to users. But it is not clear about the cost of what is offered to the customer's BlackBerry 10.
RIM, the company that has no debt, can surprisingly increase their cash amount of U.S. $ 600 million to U.S. $ 2.9 billion. The company simply stated that cash obtained from the "conversion of working capital".
